Kosmetische Kryochirurgie von oberflächlichen Hautveränderungen und Hauttumoren. Ihre Vorteile sind die einfache Anwendungsweise bzw. Handhabung, ambulante Anwendbarkeit, kurze Behandlungsdauer, beliebig oft wiederholbar, ohne Lokalanästhesie durchführbar, schont wichtige anatomische Gewebsstrukturen und erzielt sehr gute kosmetische Resultate. Während der Kryochirurgie tritt im Anschluß an die weißliche Gefrierphase ein starkes Erythem auf, das langsam abklingt. Im weiteren Verlauf entsteht ein Ödem, eine Blasenbildung mit Exsudation und anschließender Mumifikation. Nach Abfallen der Kruste innerhalb von 7-21 Tagen ist der Herd abgeheilt. Eine sichtbare Narbenbildung ist selten.
